100 holes of golf in one day!
Positive Options 20th Annual 100-Hole Golf Marathon is right around the corner! Join us on the course in early September for an entire day of uninhibited play. At previous events, some players have golfed as many as 165 holes!
If you would like to participate as a golfer, we will mail you a registration form and a fundraising packet with simple forms to pass out to your friends and family, which will explain the event. You will ask your faithful supporters to sponsor you with a one-time gift or a per-hole donation to Positive Options. If you are interested in participating in our golf event, please call Joe at 616.836.7766.
We look forward to seeing many of you who have participated in previous golf marathons and gladly welcome new golfers. Funds raised will directly benefit the lifesaving, faith-building services offered at all four of our Positive Options centers in your West Michigan communities.
We are looking for 30 golfers who will raise $2,500 or more prior to the event. On the day of the event, our golfers have from 8 am to 5 pm to golf 100 holes or as many as they can.
Each golfer receives:
● 1 cart per individual/team
● Supply of balls
● Thank you gift bag
● Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
● Chance to win prizes
● Bragging rights for golfing the marathon
By participating in our golf marathon – 100 holes in one day - you are supporting the life-giving work of Positive Options. Your participation in the Golf Marathon helps people like Cassidy and Tim.
When we first met Cassidy and Tim, they were facing some pretty hard life stuff. It was amazing that though they were young, they had such a profound sense of loyalty to each other. A blended family with a new baby on the way, they worked their way through family struggles, challenges in parenting, employment issues, and health problems. Tim would often say – “We'll get through this.” And he was right! It wasn't easy, but they learned how to overcome, one challenge at a time, - together.
When Cassidy and Tim first came to Positive Options, it was for a pregnancy test and an ultrasound. However, they stayed for the support found in the Bright Course education program for pregnancy, delivery, and parenting. They connected with their advocates and formed bonds of friendship with the whole team. They often told us that the support of their mentors and our staff were a crucial part of their journey.
Today, we celebrate Cassidy and Tim’s journey and the way they have overcome many obstacles with God's help. They are now married with three children and continue to be great friends to the ministry. Cassidy helps with Positive Options events. She is now a passionate supporter of the work that helped her become the wife and mother she wanted to be.
