Congratulations to our BestLife Grads!

We have reason to celebrate as four parents recently graduated from our BestLife {Parent} courses! Providing support for families extends beyond infancy care to strengthening family bonds and building healthier homes. Group classes offered for parents through BestLife {Parent} discuss discipline, nutrition, and child development.

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than a double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow…” - Hebrews 4:12

Through interaction with employees, volunteers, and peers, these parents are being equipped with the Word of God, active and alive, that works within these individuals that they may extend that love to their children. The support they receive from the Gospel, as well as their peers, guides them through their personal obstacles. Participants of these courses, much like the graduates, are not only learning how to navigate parenthood with their partner and engage with their children, but are overcoming personal insecurities. They are becoming vulnerable and trusting as they grow in the confidence of God’s handiwork in them. Many enter with hurting, hardened hearts and feelings of insufficiency, but leave willing to learn, from us and one another. Participants in the classes see the progress they’ve made and are becoming the parents they desire to be.

“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” - Isaiah 55:11

The recent graduates have developed relationships characterized by the way they protect and encourage each other and by the humility in with which they seek wisdom from one another.

A beautiful example of this is found in the daughter of one of our graduates; she was always hesitant to visit with her parent. As her parent learned and grew, she became hesitant to leave. However, a hand-me-down playground slide attached to her deck by her parent is now her favorite past time at that home. This parent and child went from being unsure of how to spend time together to crafting new toys and games; from eating cereal to cooking healthful meals for dinner; and from being disruptive and unwilling to participate to being eager to share personal parenting achievements.

This graduate illustrates the power of God’s word implemented through BestLife {Parent}. God’s word is alive, dynamic, life-altering, and the best tool we can provide for the parents we encounter. Congrats, Grads! The Lord bless you and keep you – Numbers 6:24
