Love Unleashes Life...
Every time we encounter someone facing a difficult pregnancy decision, we have the opportunity to tell the greatest pregnancy story ever told! Mary is told by an angel she will give birth to her (and our) promised Savior. Joseph is told by an angel to take Mary as his wife, protect her, and father this promised child. The first Christmas was not a crisis, but a celebration! Because Christ was born, died, and resurrected, we have life!
As you celebrate Christmas I encourage you to join me and celebrate the opportunity we have to inspire moms to be brave like Mary and choose life for their unborn child. Celebrate with us, the opportunity we have to encourage dads to be bold protectors like Joseph. What a joy to share this story of love, hope, and redemption so that both of them may come to know Jesus as more than a baby in a Christmas story, but their Savior and giver of life!
In her book, “Love Unleashes Life”, Stephanie Gray captured my attention with some of her subheadings: Follow the Example of Jesus, Seek to Understand, Let Love Be Your Aim, and one that reflected back to the book title, Love Unleashes Life. (I highly recommend this book; the content is even better than the subheadings.)
God’s reason for Christmas is found in John 3:16 (Amplified Bible):
“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.” His great love unleashed life for us and for every mom, dad, student and family in our community.
Thank you for loving in a way that causes life to be unleashed! Whether you partner with us financially, pray for us, volunteer at one of our centers, have become a Life Disciple at your church, or engage another way, you are helping us tell the greatest story ever told, and watching it transform lives.
I don’t know about you, but that truth, and the life unleashed by His great love, makes Christmas even more special for me. I hope it does for you, too.
May you and those you love experience the life of Christmas!
