Executive Director, Positive Options
Chris Reuschel serves as Executive Director of Positive Options, bringing a strong commitment to compassionate leadership, organizational growth, and mission-driven service. He began his role in January 2026 following a nationwide search led by the Positive Options Board of Directors.
Known as a steady and relational leader, Chris combines clear vision with deep empathy.
He has spent years walking closely with individuals and families through moments of deep vulnerability as well as seasons of growth and momentum. He leads with empathy that is genuine and grounded, paired with the clarity needed to help teams move forward together.
At his core, Chris is a connector—someone who brings people together, listens well, and creates space for others to contribute meaningfully to the mission. His leadership style emphasizes trust, shared ownership, and strengthening community partnerships so
Positive Options can continue serving individuals and families with excellence and care.
Chris succeeds longtime Executive Director Garry Markvluwer, whose leadership helped establish a strong foundation for Positive Options. Building on that legacy, Chris is focused
on expanding Positive Options’ impact, supporting staff and volunteers, and carrying forward the organization’s mission of loving people to life.
